DICK CHENEY CHUCKLES AT EPILEPTIC BOY’S SEIZURE

Dallas, TX (GNC) - On a visit to a children’s hospital in Dallas, TX, Vice President Dick Cheney’s ploy for popularity backfired after he chuckled at an epileptic child’s seizure.

The Children’s Medical Center in Dallas has always been a leading child-health care center. On a visit to the hospital to show support for a recently passed bill that provides aid to children’s hospitals across the country, Cheney met with a group of ill children. As he took questions from kids on what it’s like being Vice President, one boy raised his hand and asked what it’s like working with President George Bush.

As Cheney began to answer the question, 10 year old Martin Briers froze and collapsed to the floor. Nurses rushed over and placed a tongue suppressor between his teeth as the boy began convulsing. Cheney at first had a neutral expression, but then he turned away and covered his mouth to suppress a chuckle.

When the boy’s convulsion stopped, Cheney looked back and asked if he should answer the question. The nurses told the Vice President “That will be enough,” and bid him to leave amidst disgust at his response.

When questioned about the incident, Vice President Cheney denies that he was chuckling and instead claims to have been looking away “for the boy’s sake.” But the incident caught on camera clearly shows a smiling Cheney and an audible chuckle.

Cheney defends himself saying “it was just a big misunderstanding.”

He has cancelled his trip back to the hospital.
