Michael Moore’s “SiCKO” under fire for being manipulative and exploitative…
REVIEW OF “SiCKO”: Destructive and manipulative, SiCKO is a PSyCHO
Even before Michael Moore rides his high horse into theatres this Friday, his controversial and antagonistic documentary about the US healthcare system, deviantly titled “SiCKO,” has already come under fire for manipulating facts and distorting information in an attempt to demonize America’s healthcare industry. Having seen the film myself, I can attest to how despicable the film really is.
In recent years, Moore has become infamous for creating the world’s most biased, closed-minded and negative documentaries in Hollywood. His 2004 documentary Fahrenheit 9/11 went down as one of the most nefarious, non-violent political assassination attempts in US history as he viciously attacked the Bush administration, accusing them, amongst other things, of deceiving the public - something that the Bush administration never actually did.
However, despite the unanimous condemnation of his previous films, Michael “Boor” stoops to all new lows with “SiCKO,” effectively establishing himself as one of the most ignorant and depraved men on Earth. In his movie, he accuses reputable and upstanding businessmen/women in the healthcare industry of practicing immoral tactics to maximize profits at the expense of the American citizen’s health. What he doesn’t cover is the fact that they actually do not do this.
The attack on healthcare executives alone is enough to categorize Moore as a political terrorist, but it’s his shameless exploitation of the sick and poor that ultimately assures him a front row seat in hell. The movie manipulates interviews in clever ways to depict many of its interview subjects as poor, defenseless bickerers that blame the healthcare corporations for their problems, when in reality they don’t blame the healthcare companies at all. They really blame other things for their problems.
As the film progresses, Moore punctuates his arguments with false “facts” and ludicrous statements (like when he claims America’s healthcare system is corrupt), ultimately butchering the documentary medium as he approaches something more akin to farce and fantasy. Though I could go on for pages refuting every single point Moore tries to make, it would be a waste of time since it is pointless to try to scrutinize a work of complete fiction.
So be aware - this type of deceitful filmmaking is delicately engineered to cause the most shock for your buck in an attempt to cash in on controversy and public outcry. But ultimately, Michael Moore ends up blatantly revealing his indifference and apathy towards the feelings of the average American citizen from the opening scene to the closing credits.
I pray for the day that we as Americans stand up towards the injustice and profiteering we are experiencing today and usher in a new era of fair, effective and people-friendly healthcare industry filmmaking.

I think your post may reflect your own view quite well -but- that might not be how the rest of the world sees things.
I’m a Canadian and I need to travel to the UK, France and the US. The US is the only destination I need to buy costly travel insurance for. Why? Because there’s no public health care system, like in my own country.
I pay higher income taxes for my Canadian Universal Health Care system and there are irritants here and there but overall, when I get out of the hospital, here, I never get into debt.
Michael Moore makes a valid point when he says Canada, the UK, France, Cuba and many other civilized countries have placed the “we” before the “I”.
The more you travel to other countries, dear Chaim, the better you’ll be able to appreciate how our “public” health systems actually keep people… healthy.
Respectfully Yours.

Where in this article does it prove that Moore Manipulated or exploited anyone? The only ‘link’ that’s suppose to lead us to a fact to back up your claims, doesn’t actually work. Very Coulter of you.
But then I read this line:
Fahrenheit 9/11 went down as one of the most nefarious, non-violent political assassination attempts in US history as he viciously attacked the Bush administration, accusing them, amongst other things, of deceiving the public - something that the Bush administration never actually did.
Then I realize the writer is just an idiot. Seriously, Bush and his boys never lied? About anything? Wow.

I read this a few times because I thought I just MISSED your arguments against Sicko, but I never found them. Why don’t you stop being driven by your hate for Michael Moore, and rationally consider our health system? I’m sorry to break it to you, but America is not an angel from heaven–we would do well to look at other countries (gasp–I know, it’s scary to think we might not be “the best country in the world” at everything) and implement some of their social programs. Why is that idea so offensive to you? You honestly wouldn’t like a health care system that doesn’t put sick people into debt? Are you opposed to SOCIALIST programs parks and libraries, too?
