(GLC) - Daily Kos has long been considered one of the most succesful and popular online blogs, but a recent investigation into the website has revealed that co-author Jerome Armstrong has been lying about the traffic actually generated by the “popular” liberal blog.

The traffic stats touted by the blogger were originally claimed to be as high as 600,000 hits daily whereas the investigation revealed that the number is actually closer to 2,000 hits daily, many of which are from Mr. Armstrong himself.

This revelation comes at a particularly bad time, shortly after an interview where he confidently spoke of “captivating the world.”

“We really are making a difference at Daily Kos,” Armstrong said in an interview with ABC. “We have literally hundreds of thousands of readers checking in on what we have to say. It’s really exciting to make such an impact on the world.”

But amongst other things, the investigation revealed Armstrong’s demographic to be mostly single men aged in their mid-40’s. Hardly the type to “change the world.”

Mr. Armstrong refused to be interviewed but it’s expected that he will be posting about the incident on his blog within the next day.
