OJ: “CAN’T TOUCH ME”
LOS ANGELES, CA - In what was an almost eery insight into the mind of controversial ex-football star OJ Simpson, who was recently arrested for armed robbery of sports collectibles, he let loose on a tirade earlier today at a press conference, shouting “You can’t touch me, I am the law!” before explicitly saying “If I can get away with murder, think I can’t get away with this?”
OJ Simpson had remained calm for most of the press conference and had winked at journalists, smiled and flexed in his $5,000 suit. “Is it getting hot in here?” he jovially asked when someone inquired as to whether or not he feared the death penalty in the 1994 trial of his wife’s murder. “Or is it just me?”
But the meeting went sour when one reporter asked him to take the matter seriously and asked why he was not more afraid of the law. That is when Mr Simpson became visually upset and lambasted the journalist.
“You need me! You feed off of my greatness, you spill my blood for a story! How dare you? But you mean nothing to me! You’re just a bug that needs squashing.” He then waved his hand and had security guards escort the man out.
The markedly egomaniacal speech does give insight into the motives behind OJ Simpson’s stealing of his own sports paraphenelia, but how it will play into the trial remains to be seen.
