New York City ROCKED by mysterious car bomb explosion [PICS]

(NNC) - New York was rocked last night by a mysterious car bomb explosion near Washington Square park. The explosion occurred shortly after midnight and killed at least 3.
When asked to comment on the incident, NYPD spokesman Robert Brakefield told people to remain calm, saying “It’s not a big deal. What’s one explosion in the world when compared to the millions of people that die every day?”
He continued, adding “There’s at least 3 car bomb explosions on a daily basis in Iraq. AT LEAST 3 car bomb explosions. It’s not like it’s 9/11 all over again. It’s just one frickin’ car. Relax.”
But the families of those who were killed find it difficult to “relax” and are petitioning the NYPD to investigate the matter further.
As of now there are no plans for an investigation into the incident.
